He said that about 3 million hectares of valuable land are under threat, which are important continental in terms of conservation of rare species and natural habitats of flora and fauna. Some of them found themselves in a zone of active hostilities. For example, unique virgin steppe massifs, meadows, Cretaceous slopes in the East, coastal ecosystems of southern Ukraine, Polissya northern swamps, nature reserves of the Azov-Black Sea coast, which were in a humanitarian crisis. Among them are the Azov-Sivasky National Nature Park, the Askania-Nova Exclusive Biosphere Reserve, and the Dzharilgatsky National Park. “The mass mining of territories by the Russian occupiers remains a specific issue. After all, in addition to the danger to citizens, mining poses a significant environmental threat to the diversity of soils, plants and habitats. High concentrations of heavy metals and toxic substances caused by explosives and their transformation into the soil make the land unsafe for further agricultural use. During the detonation of missiles and artillery shells formed carbon monoxide, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrogen oxides, formaldehyde, hydrocyanic acid, toxicorganic compounds. They can be released into the atmosphere and cause the formation of acid rain with significant concentrations of sulfur oxide and nitrogen. Precipitation in this form is observed at a considerable distance from the places of hostilities and outside our country.
