Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – June 8, 2022- The spokesman of the Ukrainian Border Guard Service Andrei Demchenko announced in a press briefing that the Ukrainian border guards have arrested 3,250 people who have fled since the beginning of the Russian invasion, 900 of whom were trying to leave with forged documents.
Since February 24, 3,250 of these people have been detained in the Green Zone of the border, outside the checkpoints, and there have been attempts to leave Ukraine through the checkpoints using forged documents.
He stated that evaders and criminals who help them cross the borders come with different schemes, and one of them was recently revealed by the border guards of the western detachment.
As they had to travel outside Ukraine as drivers to transport goods, his clients were Ukrainians of draft age and those who had fallen into general mobilization.
