Details
The Ukrainian-German Humanitarian Foundation handed over 10 boxes of food kits to the staff of the Best Friends Animal Shelter, which was actually destroyed by racist shells on its territory at the beginning of the war. The food kits included long-term storage products – groceries, canning, as well as dairy products – butter, milk and more. All food supplies are formed from German producers.
Context
As a result of enemy shelling, aviaries, utility rooms, and caravans burned down workers’ homes and killed several hundred dogs and cats. Nevertheless, the staff and the shelter’s management are constantly living there, renovating the premises every day, and even accepting new animals, which are being taken out by volunteers from enemy shelling. After learning about the history of Best Friends, the Ukrainian-German Humanitarian Foundation joined in with help and donated food.
