The European Union is allocating an additional 205 million euros to Ukraine in light of growing humanitarian needs amid Russia’s ongoing aggression. The assistance was announced on Thursday by the press service of the European Commission .

“Today, the EU is allocating another 205 million euros in humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Thus, the total amount of funding for EU humanitarian aid and the amount of in-kind assistance in response to Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine is more than 700 million euros, of which 13 million euros are earmarked for projects in neighboring Moldova, “said the European Commission.

It is reported that in addition to financial humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, the EU has mobilized all possible resources to provide assistance to Ukraine.
In particular, it is reported that all 27 EU Member States, as well as Turkey, Norway and Northern Macedonia, have already provided more than 38,000 tonnes of aid, including first aid kits, food, protective clothing and strategic equipment such as fire engines, mobile hospitals and energy, which were delivered to Ukraine, worth 373 million euros.
The EU has set up logistics centers in neighboring Poland, Romania and Slovakia to speed up supplies.
It is also reported that more than 500 patients from Ukraine in need of continued treatment or urgent medical care have been transferred to European hospitals through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism from Ukraine, Moldova and border countries.
