NATO will help Ukraine shift its military forces from Soviet military equipment to modern Allied weapons. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a briefing on Wednesday on the eve of the meeting of ministers in the “Ramstein” format .

According to Stoltenberg, the allies are committed to continuing to supply the military equipment Ukraine needs to win, including heavy weapons and long-range systems.
It will also discuss how to strengthen the practical support of other partners, including Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia.
According to him, allies and partners have already provided Ukraine with billions of dollars in military equipment, as well as economic and humanitarian aid.

“I expect that at the summit NATO allies will agree on a comprehensive package of assistance for Ukraine. Assistance to Ukraine in the long run – in the transition from Soviet to modern NATO equipment and improving interoperability with NATO,” Stoltenberg said.
He noted that the Allies unwaveringly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of close partners in Europe, as well as the right of each state to choose its own path, free from outside interference.
