Details
Since mid-March, the sanctions lists have been filled with members of the families of Russian officials and businessmen, officials of financial institutions, military enterprises, state officials of the so-called “L/DNR” and others.
During this time, Japan imposed the largest number of personal sanctions: about 600 individuals and over 180 legal entities. More than 450 individuals were included in the lists of Canada and the USA. Also, 200 companies were added to the US sanctions list.
In the EU, another 160 enterprises have been sanctioned, but a significant number of these restrictions concern only export operations of dual-purpose goods and military equipment.
Let’s add
Recently, the British government announced new sanctions that hit Putin’s inner circle, including oligarch Volodymyr Potanin and Anna Tsivilova, a relative of the President of the Russian Federation.
Great Britain began imposing sanctions against Russian oligarchs and companies even before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Thus, on February 22, five more Russian banks were added to the sanctions list, and three businessmen close to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin: Gennady Timchenko, Boris Rotenberg, and his nephew Igor Rotenberg were placed under individual sanctions. Most of them belong to the closest circle of Russian President Putin.
Another Russian product was transported through this pipe — ammonia, which is produced at the TolyattiAzot enterprise. It belongs to another Russian oligarch , Dmitry Mazepin , who bought almost all the company’s shares after the start of the war.
Mazepin, on the other hand, ceased to be the majority owner in another enterprise – “Uralkhim”, sold shares and transferred positions to his henchmen – Dmytro Konyaev and Dmytro Tatyanin.
In addition, he began to informally manage the “Tomet” enterprise through controlled bankruptcy.
