The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, appointed Oleksandr Kuts as head of the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. The corresponding decree of July 19 was published on the President’s website, writes UNN .

“To appoint Oleksandr Ivanovich Kuts as the head of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region,” the text of the decree reads.

Oleksandr Kuts – statesman and military figure of Ukraine, Major General of the Security Service of Ukraine. Head of the Donetsk regional military-civilian administration from June 22, 2018 to July 5, 2019. He held the position of head of the SBU Main Department in Donetsk and Luhansk regions (21.8.2017 — 22.6.2018), head of the SBU Department in Donetsk region (March 25, 2015 — August 21, 2017).

Zelensky fired the previous head of the SBU in the Kharkiv region, Roman Dudin, at the end of May. As he said, “for the fact that he did not work for the defense of the city from the first days of the war, but thought only of himself personally.”
