Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported that Chubais was discharged from a medical facility in Sardinia and went to Frankfurt, Germany for rehabilitation.
Chubais, 67, was being treated last week for Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare disease in which the immune system attacks the nervous system, which can lead to numbness in the limbs and eventually paralysis.
Although the results of toxicology tests are not yet available, La Repubblica reports, doctors said the former official responded well to treatment.
Italian police are investigating the situation for any signs of poisoning.

Sobchak wrote in Telegram that Chubais’ wife Avdotya Smirnova reported that Chubais was placed in intensive care.
Kremlin press secretary Dmytro Peskov said at the time that he had no information about any requests for help from Chubais, who was once head of the administration of former President Boris Yeltsin, or his representatives.
