The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the “ignition” at an ammunition depot in the Dzhankoy district in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

“On August 16, at about 6:15 a.m., in the area of the settlement of Maiske (Dzhankoy district), a fire occurred on the territory of the collapsed site of temporary storage of ammunition of one of the military units,” the message says.

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that as a result of the “ignition” there was a detonation of the stored ammunition.

From the village of Maiskoye near Dzhankoy in the north of the temporarily occupied Crimea, it is reported that a warehouse of ammunition is burning.
At the same time, state-owned RosSMI reports that a transformer substation is on fire in Dzhankoy in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The security forces of the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula claim that the transformer substation began to burn after a strong “cotton” at 6 am on Tuesday.
