Kyiv City Council renamed 95 streets, lanes and squares whose names are associated with Russia and the Soviet past. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor VitaliY Klitschko .

In particular, General Zhmachenko Street became Prince Roman Mstislavich Street, Marshal Malinovsky Street became Heroes of the Azov Regiment Street, Tulska Square became Heroes of the UPA Square, Budarina Street became Ukrainian Renaissance Street, Karl Marx Street became Hutsulska Street, St. Petersburg Street became Londonskaya Street, Michurin Street (in solomensky district) became Marines Street, Rostovska Street became Lutsk Street.
Klitschko also added that at the next plenary session, the Kyiv City Council will continue to work on these issues to complete the process of de-Russification.
