The smog in the capital, which has been observed since morning, is associated with a fire near Kyiv, and is also complicated by meteorological haze. Therefore, residents of Kyiv are advised not to go outside once more and to close the windows .

“Now in Kyiv, there is a strong smog in the air. This smog is caused by a fire in the Kyiv region, namely, in the village of Sosnivka, Vyshgorod district, the liquidation of 1 center of a peat fire is underway. This situation is complicated by a seasonal phenomenon – meteorological haze,” the State Emergency Service reported.

To improve the situation with the air condition, it is recommended:
- close the windows at home;
- do not go outside once more;
- if there is an air purifier, turn it on to the maximum.
“Dear citizens! Keep calm! The situation with fires in the region’s ecosystems is completely under control!” – emphasized the State Emergency Service.
