“The most acute situation is currently observed on the border with Poland. But in general, there is Romania, where two additional checkpoints will be opened in the coming weeks as part of our project. And this will also relieve this direction,” said Kubrakov.
Details
He noted that many additional checkpoints are currently planned to be opened at the borders with EU countries in order to relieve other destinations.
In particular, Kubrakov expressed hope that on October 4 the opening of the checkpoint on the border with Poland may also take place.
“In such a short period of time, a lot is done on our part. The only thing is that the phytosanitary service on the Polish side is a little behind. But we hope that this issue will also be resolved,” Kubrakov added.
Addition
The situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border is becoming critical and may turn into a catastrophe. The reason lies in the low efficiency of Polish phytosanitary and veterinary control services.
