On Monday, September 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited the residence of the Ambassador of Great Britain to Ukraine and honored the memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This was reported by the press service of the head of state .

“On behalf of the people of Ukraine and myself, I express my sincere condolences in connection with the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Ukrainian women and men share this heavy loss. We mourn together with the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth of Nations and all subjects of the British crown. The memory of Her Majesty and her selfless service to her people will forever remain in the history of mankind,” Zelenskyi wrote in the book of mourning.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi laid flowers on the territory of the residence. The head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak also took part in the ceremony honoring the memory of Queen Elizabeth II.

On September 8, the Queen and head of state of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and 14 other countries of the Commonwealth of Nations, Elizabeth II, passed away, she was 95 years old. The day of the Queen’s funeral will be a public holiday in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
