As noted, Zelensky highly appreciated Erdogan’s personal role in organizing the recent exchange of prisoners of war and providing shelter to the commanders of “Azov”. For his part, the Turkish leader assured that all necessary conditions will be created for those released, as well as for relatives who will visit them.
The President of Ukraine also thanked Erdogan for his principled position on non-recognition of pseudo-referendums.
“The goal of the illegal pseudo-referendums that Russia held in the occupied territories of Ukraine is the annexation of new Ukrainian lands. The international community should give the strongest possible response to Russia’s actions,” Zelenskyi said.
In addition, the parties touched on the issue of the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Black Sea. The presidents noted that since the “grain initiative” came into effect, 235 ships with 5.4 million tons of agricultural products for the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa have left the ports of Ukraine.
Separately, the leaders of the countries discussed the situation at the ZNPP. Erdogan expressed readiness to contribute to international efforts to prevent the nuclear threat.
