The situation in Ukraine’s energy system after another attack by the enemy is difficult. Emergency shutdowns are applied in Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv regions and in Kyiv, restoration of energy supply to the population may take a long time, the Ukrenergo NEC reported on Facebook .

Schedules of emergency shutdowns have been introduced in Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr , Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv regions and the city of Kyiv. Critical infrastructure facilities are prioritized, restoration of energy supply to household consumers may take a long time,” Ukrenergo reported.

Ukrenergo noted that throughout the night enemy UAVs tried to break into energy facilities throughout the country. “Thanks to the professional work of the Air Defense Forces, the enemy did not fully achieve its goal, but, unfortunately, there are several hits on infrastructure objects,” the company said.
According to reports, units of the State Emergency Service are currently working on eliminating the consequences of shelling. Where possible, repair crews are already assessing the extent of the damage and beginning emergency repair work.
It is also indicated that in the southern and eastern regions, the enemy subjected the de-occupied areas to artillery fire, and there is damage.
“Despite all the damage, the power industry keeps the situation under control. The power system maintains a stable frequency of 50 Hz, we work synchronously with the European continental grid,” Ukrenergo reported.
