“Danube Bessarabia, along with the pandemic, has experienced an unprecedented two-year drought, our fields have turned into a scorched steppe. The vineyards were on the verge of survival. We got a very small, 5-10 times less than usual, grape harvest. Saving the vines cost a lot of work and very high costs, “the statement reads.
The winery also notes that signs and quarantine measures have been introduced by the state to avoid the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Quarantine measures, to put it mildly, did not promote the sale of wines and, as a result, got a very difficult financial situation for wine producers,” – say entrepreneurs.
However, it is noted that winemakers have managed to maintain production and specialists.
According to winemakers, the wine of 2020, despite the drought, is of special quality.
