The Grand Prix of Greco-Roman wrestling took place in Zagreb, where Ukrainians won four medals.
Jean Beleniuk (87 kg), who last competed at the end of 2019 at the World Cup in Nur Sultan, overcame all rounds. In qualifying, he defeated Andreas Vaelis from Estonia (8: 0), the Swiss Ramon Betshart also could not do anything against the Ukrainian, as well as the Finn Viki Popponen (9: 0 due to both matches), and in the semifinals Jean put on the carcass of Turkish athlete Dogan Goktash. In the final, he defeated the representative of Sweden with a score of 9: 1 ahead of schedule.

Another Ukrainian first place winner is Parviz Nasibov (72). In the quarterfinals, the wrestler from Zaporizhia defeated Aram Vardanyan (Uzbekistan), the score was 4: 0, and in the semifinals he was stronger than the Finn Mikko Peltokangas (5: 3), and in the final for the Turk Yilmaz – 3: 2.
Our Yaroslav Filchakov became a bronze medalist of the Grand Prix “Zagreb Open 2021”, and Mykola Kuchmiy won “silver” in the category up to 130 kg.
