87-year-old American TV presenter, Larry King has died.
“Ora Media is deeply saddened by the death of Larry King, our co-founder, presenter, and friend. He passed away this morning at the age of 87 at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” the statement said.
On January 3, ABC reported that the presenter had been hospitalized with coronavirus. He also had health problems.
Biography and career of Larry King
Larry King was born on November 19, 1933, in the Brooklyn area of New York to a Jewish family of immigrants from Austria and Belarus.
During his career, he has conducted more than fifty thousand interviews with politicians, athletes, artists, and other celebrities. He is an Emmy Award winner, a two-time Peabody Award winner, and a ten-time Cable ACE Award winner.
He was married eight times. Four children from three wives. Since 1997, he is married for the eighth time to Shawn Southwick.
In July 2010, Larry King announced the voluntary closure of his show. The last issue was released on December 16, 2010, the guest of the program was Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In early January 2021, he was hospitalized with a positive result for COVID-19, was in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
