The draw ceremony of the Euro 2023 (U-21) qualifying tournament took place in Nyon, Switzerland.
According to the UEFA rating (indicators in the qualifying and final competitions of Euro-2017, Euro-2019, and in the selection of Euro-2021), the teams were divided into six baskets. Ruslan Rotan’s wards were third and, according to the rules, avoiding a meeting with the Russian national team.
According to the results of the draw, the national teams of France, Serbia, Northern Macedonia, the Faroe Islands, and Armenia lost to the “blue-yellow” rivals in Group H.

55 teams will take part in the 2023 European Championship among youth teams. The hosts of the competition, Romania and Georgia, will receive passes to the final part of the championship automatically.
