Analytical platform EasyBusiness believes that in 10 years after the launch of the land market, its value will reach 4-4.5 thousand dollars per 1 hectare.
“Our calculations show that over the next 10 years, the price of land may increase to 4−4.5 thousand dollars per 1 ha compared to the normative monetary value, which averages 1−1.2 thousand dollars per 1 ha “, – he said.
In addition, Livch noted that the cost of renting land and the productivity of the agricultural sector in general will also increase. At the same time, he believes that the launch of a fully liberalized land market in Ukraine could bring about $ 50-85 billion in total GDP growth in the next 10 years after the reform.
However, the proposed model, according to Livch, although it will have a lower economic effect, will still lay the foundation for future development of the agricultural sector subject to the adoption of an auxiliary package of legislative initiatives, including bills № 2194 (transfer of all state-owned lands outside communities), № 2195 (purchase and sale of state lands exclusively through electronic auctions), № 3205−2 (Fund for partial guarantee of loans in agriculture).
