The world’s fastest production motorcycle is back – Suzuki has released a teaser video for the next generation Hayabusa. You can see only a few flashes of the superbike in the video, but that’s enough to make the hearts of motorcycle fans start beating faster.
Suzuki Hayabusa debuted in 1999 and immediately soared to the top of the speed hierarchy among production motorcycles. It was not only the only bike capable of accelerating to 312 kilometers per hour, but also remained the fastest production motorcycle for two decades. No wonder the motorcycle is named after the peregrine falcon – a bird of prey that falls on its prey at a speed of up to 320 kilometers per hour.
In 2018, Suzuki withdrew Hayabusa from sale in Europe, and from now – stopped selling this model in the United States. New emission standards have become an obstacle. But fans of speed on two wheels will not have to wait too long for a replacement, as the next Hayabusa is already on the way.
In the teaser you can see the instrument panel with a TFT screen, where you can see a hint of the return of a number of electronic technologies, including power modes of the S-DMS engine, traction control, lift control and quick gear shift. The inclinometer, which shows the angle of inclination on both sides, is located in the middle.
Side TFT displays are a tachometer and speedometer in their traditional positions on the left and right. The speedometer shows a speed of 180 miles per hour – 290 kilometers per hour. Fuel level and engine temperature are located at opposite ends.
The official debut of the new Suzuki Hayabusa will take place on February 5 at 9:00 Kyiv time. The presentation will be broadcast on a special website of Suzuki Motorcycle Global Salon.
