In Crimea, during the years of occupation, the number of farm animals has significantly decreased.
According to the results of 2020, the number of poultry decreased the most – by 41%: from 9.5 million heads in 2013 to 5.6 million.
The number of cattle at the end of 2020 amounted to 101.1 thousand heads, which is 25% less than in 2013 (134.2 thousand heads).
The number of pigs decreased by almost 30% – 110.1 thousand heads in 2020 against 156.3 thousand heads before the occupation.
Sheep and goats during the years of occupation of the peninsula decreased by 25.6% – 173.4 thousand heads against 233.1 thousand heads in 2013.
Due to the reduction of livestock, milk production also fell by 30.7% – from 292.4 thousand tons in 2013 to 202.8 thousand tons in 2020.
Egg production has decreased by 45.7% since 2013 – to 275.4 million units from 507 million units.
