The Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet announced during his participation in the educational forum held in Kyiv that 217 vocational education institutions in Ukraine use a dual form of education. Currently, more than 12,000 students study in dual form.
According to him, the introduction of a model of vocational education in the dual form of education is one of the forms of public-private and social partnership.
“The share of employed graduates in 2020 is 83%. One of the ways to improve the quality of training is the creation of training and practice centers in the industry. UAH 100 million was allocated for the establishment of the NPC. Out of 53 planned training and practical centers, 49 have already been opened, ”Serhiy Shkarlet said.
The Minister also informed that at the end of December the board of the Ministry of Education and Science approved the Strategy for the Development of Vocational Education until 2023. It identifies the key areas in which the vocational education system will be upgraded over the next few years. The document is currently being prepared for approval by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.
