The American concern Ford is preparing for the release of a new SUV Maverick Timberline. The first prototypes of the model have already been tested. The presentation of the Ford Maverick should take place soon, this is also confirmed by applications for trademark registration, which appeared two years ago. It is noted that the novelty will receive a stronger and lighter version for off-road, which will have a finish Timberline.
However, this is not the first time we hear about Ford’s attempt to resurrect the legendary model. More than two years ago, both Maverick and Timberline trademark applications appeared. Both SUVs were noticed the day before during testing. If the rumors about the approach of Maverick Timberline are true, then customers can expect a differently tuned suspension and many external updates that are designed to complement an active lifestyle.
Most likely, Maverick is developed on the Ford C2 platform, which he shares with the Bronco Sport and Escape SUVs. There are rumors that the novelty will be assembled in Mexico so that the concern could avoid a terrible tax for light trucks. The exact plant has not yet been confirmed, although there is information that it will be built together with Bronco Sport in the city of Hermosillo.
Although this has not yet been officially confirmed by the automaker, the SUV is expected to go on sale by spring 2022. Most likely, deliveries to customers will begin closer to the end of the year.
