Every people is distinguished by its history, heritage, origin and language, which is the basic identity to define it. Therefore, on this day that coincides with International Mother Language Day, it is a special day for the whole world, established by UNESCO in 1999.
And it made it a public holiday, the primary goal of this day is to support the identity and importance of each language and its importance to people. No wonder they say that after giving up their native language the nation dies, because the language contains the history and culture of the state. The language issue remains of great importance in Ukraine and causes much controversy.
On October 26, 1999, the UNESCO General Conference declared its support for linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. To this end, a day has been designated an international holiday to be celebrated on February 21. The date of the holiday was chosen as the Day of Protests in Bangladesh in 1952, when the authorities brutally suppressed a measure against the ban of the Bengali language in the country. Since 2000, Mother Language Day is celebrated annually in Ukraine.
Congratulations on the occasion of Mother Language Day 2021. Language is the soul of the nation, its genetic symbol, and in its depths it has generated much of what our people can be proud of.
