Peat soil is a mixture of peat with natural soil, for the preparation of which neutral lowland or transitional peat and floodplain fertile soil are used.
Peat contains a large number of humic acids, which, in turn, promote vegetation growth. From peat prepare various mixtures, soils, fertilizers, and substrates, which are used in greenhouses.
The main characteristics of peat soil
reduces the evaporation of moisture from the root system and the nearest plant space; preserves the softness of the soil;
counteracts weed germination;
neutralizes the harmful effects of pesticides;
fights the accumulation and impact on the plant of heavy metals.
Advantages of peat
has a large number of useful organic substances and nutrients;
well permeable to water and retains heat;
improves soil properties, makes it more structural;
environmentally friendly and safe product.
Peat soil forms a porous soil structure containing air. Enriches with nutrients, which increases fertility and has a positive effect on plant development and growth.
