One of the key problems in employment is the age of the applicant. These are the results of a survey conducted by OLX Rabota. Thus, 16% of people under the age of 40 have already faced a situation where employers choose a junior employee.

Also among the reasons for denial of employment, applicants call the presence of children and disability.
It should be noted that employees who are 18-40 years old call their strengths the desire to build a career, great activity, and initiative. Another advantage of a young employee is the focus on modern technology.
Applicants over the age of 40 say that they are more responsible in their work, interested in long-term employment, and have extensive knowledge and experience.
Employers named three main reasons for denials for workers aged 40+:
desired salary level;
age;
insufficient level of education.
The State employment center of Ukraine declared a reduction of shadow employment in the fields of the state. This was reported by the press service of the department. In particular, in 2019 the level of such employment was about 20.9% when in 2020 this figure decreased to 20.3%.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine will facilitate the employment of people with disabilities. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that the relevant draft law of the Ministry of Social Policy was supported by the government.
