In Ukraine, 2 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day, April 22, – 14.2 thousand, which is a drop from yesterday’s highest figure for the week. There were 434 deaths per day. At the same time, there were more people who recovered for the fourth day in a row than patients. This was reported by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

Over the past 24hrs, 14,277 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Ukraine, including 591 children and 277 health workers. 434 deaths were recorded, 18,964 patients recovered. 3,728 people were admitted to hospitals with suspected or diagnosed COVID-19. Instead, another 18,964 patients were discharged.
The total number of COVID-19 infected in Ukraine exceeded one million at the end of December, almost ten months after the start of the pandemic in the country. The country reached two million in four months.
Also, a record number of patients with coronavirus recovered in a day, the day before this figure was 18,831.
Most new cases were recorded in Kyiv (1,673), Kharkiv (1,333), Zaporizhia (995), Dnipropetrovsk (976) and Kyiv (887) oblasts.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have detected 2 million 4 thousand 630 cases of COVID-19, of which 1 million 552 thousand people recovered and 41 700 – died of complications.
Coronavirus test in Ukraine:
On April 22, the laboratories performed 95,740 tests for coronavirus: by PCR – 41,305, by ELISA – 18,360. They also performed 36,075 rapid tests for the antigen to the virus.
Over 9.1 million PCR tests have been conducted in Ukraine so far.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
