Specialists conducted research aimed at studying the impact of material prosperity on attitudes toward themselves and others. Researchers at Singapore National University participated in this study. It was they who came up with the idea of identifying the impact of money on human empathy.

According to scientists, high-income people have retained the opportunity to empathize with other people, as well as they have increased self-confidence and they have become more focused.
The study was conducted with the help of about 1.5 million people from 162 countries. Emotions of high-income people did not affect the attitude towards other people. The person who cares for everyone remained the same after receiving a lot of money, and people who did not feel any warmth towards people remained the same. On emotions about themselves, scientists say that the growth of confidence, which is caused by material well-being, suppresses many negative emotions, including sadness, anxiety, depression.
