According to the organizers’ statement: “Unfortunately, the conditions unfolding in different regions, the uncertain travel prospects, the different rates of vaccination spread and the uncertainty about the options for the new Coronavirus make it impossible to hold a global meeting with business, government and civil society leaders as planned.”.
In this regard, the meeting has been postponed to the first half of 2022. The venue and date for it will be decided later this summer.
It is worth noting that at the end of 2020, the World Economic Forum (WEF) organizers transferred the event from Switzerland to Singapore due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The World Economic Forum was originally scheduled to take place in mid-May, but due to the pandemic, the event has been postponed to August 2021.
The forum is usually held in Davos.
