The profile publication in the person of 9to5Mac reports that the aforementioned corporation has promised to still bring support for HomePod and HomePod mini audio streaming through the already named service without loss through a “future software update”. Be that as it may, the company did not say exactly when this update will appear and whether users will receive features such as Dolby Atmos. The already released official support document mentioning HomePod support also notes that users will be able to use AirPods Max for lossless music listening for the foreseeable future.
However, there will be one limitation – you will need to connect your headphones to your streaming device via a 3.5mm Lightning cable. It is also important to note that Apple will be able to offer lossless audio streaming through HomePods via additional Wi-Fi bandwidth. According to Apple, regular and Pro versions of AirPods and other Bluetooth headphones “don’t have the capacity needed to play lossless music.” In any case, don’t expect a truly fabulous difference in audio quality from the HomePods, and especially the HomePod mini.
Substantial improvements will be noticeable, for the most part, only in terms of much better reproduction of the finest details of the song. At any rate, lossless audio support ensures that any restrictions on sound quality are related to your hardware and not to the source material.
