Some murals sang “Kyiv Waltz“, while others performed songs by modern performers.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – May 28, 2021 – Ukraine Society and Culture
The team of the Ukrainian application for changing faces Reface with the help of a new function of the application “revived” the famous Kyiv murals and “taught” them to sing.
As noted, the most famous Kyiv murals, such as “Renaissance” on Andrew’s Descent and a mural with a child, sang “Kyiv Waltz”. Separately, some murals sang other songs by contemporary artists.
They did this with a new Reface feature – Swap Animation. It allows users to transfer their faces to images, statues, paintings, posters, video game characters and animate them with music and other sounds.
“Users can bring to life not only photos and transfer their own face to them, but architectural monuments, ancient Greek philosophers, or paintings. I believe that technology can give a second life to art. Such experiments have always been interesting for the team, so we decided that Kyiv Day is the best opportunity to revive the city’s street art and show the application of new technology, ” said Dima Shvets, CEO and co-founder of Reface.
By the way, users can insert their face into a favorite mural of Kyiv and make him sing the selected song.
