The spokesman reminded that on June 4, new rules for the entry of foreigners into Turkey will come into force.
“The innovations are aimed at counteracting the spread of COVID-19 from the outside against the background of a gradual easing of restrictive measures within the country. The changes will apply to all visitors from other countries, including Ukraine,” he said.
According to him, when crossing the border, citizens of Ukraine must present: a negative PCR test for COVID-19 made no later than 72 hours before arrival; or a rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen test performed no later than 48 hours prior to arrival, or a full coronavirus vaccination document at least 14 days before arrival or a document that a person has become ill with COVID-19 in the last 6 months.
“Turkish border guards will require only one of these documents. Our citizens must choose which of the documents to take with them on the trip. The document must be in English,” Nikolenko explained.
At the same time, transit passengers, children under 6, and crew members are exempt from these obligations.
In addition, according to him, within 72 hours before crossing the Turkish border, foreigners, including Ukrainians, must fill in the electronic form of the Ministry of Health of Turkey (register.health.gov.tr) and have a document generated after filling out this form – in electronic or paper form.
“We also remind you of the need to have a medical insurance policy for the period of stay in Turkey,” the diplomat added.
