The season of cherries begins – a favorite filling for pies, cakes and dumplings.

Today’s recipe for chocolate cake with cream cheese and cherries successfully combines different flavors and does not require long cooking, because it is baked with the filling.
Ingredients:
400 g of cherries
300 g of cheese
150 g of flour
150 g of sugar
120 g of butter
100 g of chocolate
4 eggs
1 packet of vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
Preparation:
Place butter and chocolate in a saucepan and melt in a water bath, stirring until smooth.
Beat 2 eggs and 50 g of sugar with the addition of vanilla sugar and salt, add the cooled chocolate, add sifted flour with baking powder and mix gently.
Mash the cheese with the remaining sugar and eggs and beat lightly with a mixer until creamy.
Wash, dry, and pit the cherries.
Put a third of the chocolate dough in a form greased with butter, level it, pour half of the cheese mass on it, and spread half of the norm of the prepared cherry. Then again a third of the remaining dough, cream cheese, and cherries. The last layer should be the rest of the chocolate dough.
Bake for about 45 minutes at 180 ° C.
Allow the finished cake to cool without removing it from the mold, and only then cut.
On a side note
You can use raspberries, currants, blueberries, or berry mix to make a chocolate cake.
The last layer of dough will be difficult to distribute evenly, so you should apply an arbitrary pattern on the surface with a wooden skewer or knife, lightly mixing the top layers and achieving a marble effect.
The surface of the finished cake can be filled with icing if desired.
