The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at its sitting on Thursday, June 17, will continue consideration of amendments to the draft law № 4107 on ensuring the independence of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Thus, a total of 539 proposals and amendments were submitted to the bill. Of these, 77 were taken into account in full, 127 were taken into account in part by the profile committee, and 12 were taken into account editorially. At the same time, the committee rejected 323 proposals and amendments, as shown in the comparative table.
On Wednesday, the Council considered the 434th amendment and will continue its discussion today.
It should be noted that the bill caused a lot of controversy in society, and according to the conclusions of the GNEU, the draft law before the second reading included a number of provisions that do not comply with the Constitution of Ukraine and do not systematically comply with current laws of Ukraine.
If all the amendments are passed, people’s deputies should also consider the draft law № 5304, which proposes to amend the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021 in terms of increasing spending on “Administration of justice by local, appellate courts and the functioning of justice bodies and institutions by 600,000, 0 thousand UAH by reducing them for “Training and participation of national teams in the Paralympic and Deaflympic Games.”
In addition, the draft law № 4486 on the status of national and effective management of educational institutions and state property is on the agenda. According to the explanatory note, the purpose of the bill is to legislatively improve the procedure for granting higher education institutions the status of national, scientific institutions – the status of the national research center and creating appropriate opportunities for management of educational institutions and state property assigned to them.
Also today the Council is considering a draft law № 3683 on aviation rules of Ukraine. The draft law provides for amendments to the Air Code of Ukraine in terms of determining that the aviation rules of Ukraine are developed, adopted, and implemented in accordance with standards and recommended practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization, regulations of the International Air Transport Association, European Air Navigation Safety Association, European Agency on flight safety, other international aviation organizations and taking into account the legislation of the European Union in the field of civil aviation.
Bills planned to be considered in the first reading :
regarding the simultaneous transfer of rights to a land plot in connection with the transfer of rights to a real estate object located on it;
to provide extended neonatal screening in Ukraine;
about insurance;
on the peculiarities of providing electronic public services;
about the Commissioner for Medical Affairs;
to exclude the possibility of procurement without the use of an electronic procurement system.
The bill, which is planned to be considered in the second reading, is to resume the work of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
As Oleksandr Kachura, People’s Deputy from Servants of the People, said earlier, on June 18 the Verkhovna Rada plans to convene an extraordinary session to consider an appeal to the United States Congress to grant Ukraine bilateral status as a major non-NATO ally (MNNA).
