The Cabinet of Ministers approved a plan for the celebrations to mark Independence Day on August 24. Festive events will be held in all cities of Ukraine.

The plan of festive events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence envisages the following celebrations.
In Kyiv:
Raising the largest state flag for the National Flag Day on August 23 with the participation of the President;
Holding a solemn sitting of the Verkhovna Rada on August 24 with the participation of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers;
Holding a concert and parade on the street. Khreshchatyk and Independence Square;
Exhibition of military equipment and weapons on Mykhailivska Square;
Solemn passage of boats and flight of planes over the Dnieper near Trukhanov Island, display of naval weapons and military equipment.
In addition, the inaugural Summit of the Crimean Platform and the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, the awarding of outstanding figures of the National Legend and a charity concert at the Taras Shevchenko Opera and Ballet Theater will be held in Kyiv on Independence Day.
In Odessa, at the external raid of the seaport, a solemn passage of Navy ships and the flight of military aircraft will be held, as well as a display of naval weapons and military equipment.
In all other settlements of Ukraine solemn actions with participation of local authorities, and also ceremonies of laying of flowers to graves of outstanding figures and fighters for independence of Ukraine, participants of Revolution of Dignity, the war in the East are planned.
On May 20, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a military parade was planned in Ukraine for the thirtieth anniversary of independence.
