In Ukraine, 2.245 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day on July 19 – almost 600, a sharp jump against the figure the day before. At the same time, 279 people were hospitalized per day, which is slightly less than the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“During the day of July 19, 2021, in Ukraine, 598 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded,” the Ministry of Health said.
Also for the past day:
279 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 25;
recovered – 540 people;
tested: by PCR – 21,459 people, by ELISA – 8,387 people, by rapid tests – 12,565 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,245,275 people;
2,181,925 people recovered;
fatalities – 52,756;
PCR tests were performed – 11,182,527.
Of the patients for the past day: 23 children, 13 medical workers.
Over the past 24hrs, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (228), Donetsk (48), Odesa (35), Sumy (35), and Luhansk (35) oblasts.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 18th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine in the summer.
From January 8 to 24, Ukraine was subject to strict quarantine. It was administered to “bring down” the incidence of COVID-19. The Ministry of Health noted that the main effect of the January “lockdown” was achieved.
