It is noted that on August 3, the panel of judges continued consideration of cases № 9901/45/21 and № 9901/54/21 on the claims of LLC “NEW FORMAT TV” and LLC “TV CHOICE” on appealing against the application of sanctions against TV channels.
During the court hearings, the panel of judges granted the written requests of the plaintiff’s representatives to attach to the case file documents, the assessment of which the Court will provide at the stage of examination of evidence, the press service of the court.
“The panel of judges also issued written rulings, according to which it demanded additional evidence from the plaintiff, the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting,” the statement said.
Sanctions against Medvedchuk and Co.
On February 2, the President put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions on the People’s Deputy from the Opposition Platform – for Life party of Kozak and 8 companies that are founders of 112 Ukraine, ZIK, and NewsOne. The broadcasting of these TV channels was stopped in digital multiplex and cable networks on the night of February 3.
On February 19, the National Security and Defense Council decided to apply sanctions to 19 legal entities and 8 individuals, including Medvedchuk and his wife Oksana Marchenko.
Sanctions have been imposed on all property and assets that are under the control of Medvedchuk and his wife.
According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov, the SBU is investigating criminal proceedings under Part 5 of Art. 258 (terrorist financing). Sanctions were imposed on Medvedchuk, Marchenko, and others in connection with this investigation.
Medvedchuk appealed to the Supreme Court against the decree on sanctions against him.
