The homemade robot was originally created for entertainment. However, during the quarantine, a new purpose was found for him: he helps residents who became infected with COVID-19 and are in isolation. The work consisted of old unnecessary things, including pots, pans, and a TV monitor. The head of the robot was made from a rice cooker. The chassis of the former toy car was used as a basis. The invention is controlled remotely, it has 12 hours of battery life. Approaching the house of an isolated resident, the robot says “assalamu’alaikum” (Peace be upon you), and then Delivery here. Recover faster”.
With this new Delta version and the growing number of COVID-19 cases, I decided to turn a regular entertainment robot into a public service robot: spraying disinfectants, delivering food, and meeting the other needs of residents who are isolated. “This robot is very simple. When we created it, we used only the materials that were in our area,” said Aseyanto, 53, the lead investor.
Last month, Indonesia imposed strict quarantine due to a sharp increase in the incidence of COVID-19 and the spread of the Delta strain.
