Samsung’s smartwatch has been updated to the fourth version. They will now run on Google’s Wear OS, not Tizen’s own. This transition made it impossible to connect the Galaxy Watch 4 with iOS devices.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – August 13, 2021 – Technology
The new generation Galaxy Watch can only pair with Android smartphones. The information was officially confirmed by Samsung by editing the device support document.
The update only applies to the fourth generation of watches. Past models that remain on Tizen will remain compatible with iOS devices.
Compatibility rules have also changed somewhat. Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 can only work with Android smartphones starting with the sixth version. Earlier ones are not supported. In addition, the smartphone itself must have at least 1.5 gigabytes of RAM.
Another notable feature is the requirement to have Google services on your smartphone. This means that a huge number of owners of Huawei smartphones will not be able to use the new Galaxy Watch 4.
It will be recalled that the new smartwatch was presented at the Samsung Unpacked conference together with the company’s new smartphones. In total, two models will be released with two variations of screen size in each – Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic. Prices start from 6,999 hryvnias for the smallest version and end with 12,499 hryvnias for the most advanced version with eSIM.
An interesting fact: the first serial keyboard with a Ukrainian layout was implemented in ASUS laptops. Here you can find the perfect device for home, work, creativity, study, or games.
