According to the local newspaper RIA Melitopol, poisoning, which could occur due to a large number of jellyfish, is especially likely if a person has a weakened immune system.
Most intoxications in the sea are caused by contact with intestinal cavities. In this group of invertebrates of more than 9,000 species, about 100 belong to the type Cnidaria and are considered poisonous.
However, it is not necessary that the complex of symptoms that appear when toxic substances enter the tissues was caused by the touch of jellyfish. Intoxication can be provoked even by the smell of decomposing organisms if they are not removed from the beach, and they lie in the sun, and a person inhales these vapors.
Doctors advise washing the sore spot with seawater for jellyfish burns. Also, according to doctors, you should change your bathing suits after getting out of the water on the beach.
