Three planes with evacuees from the Afghan capital, Kabul, returned to Ukraine on Saturday. According to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, in total, our state evacuated more than 600 people from Afghanistan.

The head of the President’s Office wrote that Ukrainian citizens can still stay in other parts of Afghanistan, so Ukraine will not leave them. “The OPU is constantly monitoring the situation. The hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is open 24 hours a day. None of our citizens who are in trouble will be left to fend for themselves,” he concluded.
Three planes with Ukrainians and foreign citizens evacuated from the Afghan capital landed at Boryspil International Airport on August 28. There were about 80 Ukrainians among the passengers when a total of about 360 people were on board these planes, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin told reporters.
