ANTONOV’s An-124-100 aircraft transported the new Turkish telecommunications satellite Turksat 5B from Toulouse, France, to be launched by the US aerospace company SpaceX, in collaboration with Bollore Logistics Space in Toulouse. Ruslan is the only aircraft. , capable of transposing unique containers, as they were developed by Airbus Defense and Space specifically for transportation by AN-124-100 aircraft, “the press service said.

It was noted that the total weight of the cargo was 60 tons, and its dimensions: length – 14.69 m, width – 5.45 m and height – 5.36 m were close to the size of the cargo compartment of the aircraft.
SpaceX launched Turksat 5B on December 18 at the request of Turkey from Cape Canaveral, where the launch site is located. This satellite will be the most powerful for the country and will provide a wide range of communications not only for Turkey but also for neighboring countries for 35 years.
As reported, over the past few months, the Ukrainian airline has performed three shipments to supply satellite components.
