Eat more foods that are rich in magnesium
Magnesium deficiency can provoke the formation of foci of internal inflammation (including in the intestine), as well as obesity. To make up for magnesium deficiency, eat spinach, pumpkin seeds, brown rice and other healthy foods.
Eat more healthy fats
Even if you follow a very strict diet, you should not give up fat – the main thing is that it was useful. Polyunsaturated fats, which are abundant in dark chocolate, olives and olive oil, avocados, walnuts and fatty fish, protect us from heart disease, depression, type 2 diabetes, stroke, cancer and, of course, gastrointestinal disorders and weight gain.
Eat less carbs
One of the main enemies of our intestines – “fast” carbohydrates, which can change for the worse the balance of intestinal flora and cause inflammation. Prefer foods high in fiber as well as high in “slow” carbs.
Eat fewer FODMAP foods
FODMAP is a product that contains short-chain carbohydrates. They are poorly absorbed in the large intestine and lead to increased flatulence, diarrhea and constipation. Sweeteners, lactose, some vegetables, fruits and legumes can damage the intestines and impair its function. If you suspect that you are hypersensitive to any of them, try to gradually abandon each of the products and watch for changes in the body.
