Ukraine Gate -Kiev- March 8, 2022- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshuk told a press conference that Ukraine calls on Russia to immediately agree to humanitarian corridors in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kharkiv, Volnovkha and Mariupol regions.
“We have also sent to the Russian side and the Red Cross the developed routes for humanitarian corridors: Volnovakia – Zaporizhia, Mariupol – Zaporizhia, Kyiv and the Kiev region in the direction of western Ukraine, as well as the Kharkiv region and Kharkiv in the direction of the west,” Vereshchuk said. We urge Russia to agree on these roads immediately… to inform the International Committee of the Red Cross and to ensure a permanent ceasefire on these roads.”
He urged the Deputy Prime Minister not to trust the reports of unofficial sources of information, as well as the messages of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“Trust the Ukrainian authorities, listen, read the official media,” Vereshuk said.
As reported, a humanitarian corridor to Sumy will open on March 8, according to Irina Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in Ukraine, no other routes have been agreed upon.
