Dynamo Kyiv have defeated Hungary’s Ferencvaros 1-0 in their final match in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The match took place at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kyiv on Tuesday, December 8.
The first half passed in a tough fight without scoring goals.
The decisive goal, after a canopy from a free kick by Carlos de Pena, was scored by Denis Popov. The event took place in the 60th minute of the game.
In the sixth round of the Champions League in the decisive match for third place in Group G, the wards of Mircea Lucescu achieved the desired result in a duel with the Hungarian “Ferencvaros”, led by former Kyiv coach Serhiy Rebrov.
The Ukrainian club took third place in its group and will continue to play in the UEFA Europa League playoffs in February.
