Today, the Verkhovna Rada is expected to consider changes to the legislation on justice. They propose to allow sending notifications about the courts through the public service “Action” .

This is a bill on amendments to the Law “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” on the conduct of proceedings in martial law or state of emergency, which was registered by a group of deputies under №7315 on April 26.
The authors note that in martial law it became more difficult to inform the participants of the trial about the meeting. Including by mail.
So, they are proposing to allow this to be done through “Action”.
The purpose of the bill, therefore, is to “introduce additional notification of litigants on the proceedings using the Unified State Web Portal of electronic services, including the mobile application of the portal” Action “.
Also, as indicated in the explanatory note, it is envisaged to allow the party to the case through this annex a court decision, an executive document.
“Providing such information will not have the status of an official notice, but the participant in the trial will be informed and will be able to take the necessary measures to protect their rights and interests,” – said the drafters of the bill.
It is also proposed to introduce the possibility of holding meetings of judges remotely by videoconference during martial law or state of emergency, as well as during quarantine through COVID-19.

The Verkhovna Rada convenes for a regular sitting . It is planned to consider amendments to the Budget-2022, bills on notifying the participants of the trial of the case through “Action”, remote voting in the Verkhovna Rada, appeal to the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against representatives of the ROC. The issue of dismissal of the Ombudsman is also expected.
