The European Union has extended sanctions for Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea for one year – until June 23, 2023, according to the EU Council,

“The EU Council today decided to extend the sanctions imposed by the EU in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by the Russian Federation until June 23, 2023,” the statement said.
Details
The current restrictive measures were first introduced in June 2014 and include bans on imports into the EU of illegally annexed Crimea or Sevastopol, as well as infrastructure or financial investments and the provision of tourism services from illegally annexed Crimea or Sevastopol.
In addition, the export of certain goods and technologies to Crimean companies, either for use in the illegally annexed Crimea in the transport, telecommunications and energy sectors or for exploration and production of oil, gas and mineral resources, is also subject to EU restrictions.

The EU has been imposing various types of restrictive measures on Russia since March 2014 in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and the deliberate destabilization of the situation in Ukraine. In addition to personal sanctions, there are also economic sanctions targeted at certain sectors of the Russian economy. EU restrictions on economic relations with annexed Russia, Crimea and Sevastopol, also apply.
In addition, in March 2014, the EU Council decided to freeze the assets of those responsible for embezzling Ukrainian public funds.
