The European Union today provided another 2.5 billion euros for Ukraine, said the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen .

The President of the European Commission noted that the EU plans to allocate 18 billion euros for 2023 with regular provision of funds.
“For an urgent reconstruction that will lead to a quick and successful recovery of the country. We will support Ukraine as much as necessary,” the European official stressed.

On September 20, the EU Council approved an additional macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 5 billion.
This tranche is part of the EU’s macro-financial assistance package to Ukraine in the amount of up to EUR 9 billion, announced by the European Commission on May 18 and approved by the European Council on June 23-24.
Ukraine received the first 2 billion euros from a tranche of 5 billion on October 18.
