Kherson’s deputy mayor from the traitor Volodymyr Saldo’s team was detained on suspicion of collaboration.

“The SBI detained the deputy mayor of Kherson from the team of the traitor Saldo (…) who worked for the enemy during the temporary occupation of the city,” the message reads.
According to the SBI, before the Russian invasion, the official was responsible for the activities of the city council’s executive bodies. After the capture of Kherson, he began to work for the occupiers: he was responsible for the housing and communal services sector, set up occupation systems for collecting payments from the population for housing and communal services services, and prepared premises for holding a fake referendum.
“Employees of the SBI detained the official and informed him of the suspicion of aiding the aggressor state (part 1 of article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanctions of the article provide imprisonment for a term of up to 12 years,” the message reads.
As noted, during the detention, the constitution of the Russian Federation and other propaganda materials were found in the man’s possession. He is also being investigated for involvement in the illegal trafficking of weapons and explosives. The court chose a preventive measure for the detainee – detention.
